Mr. James P. Bell P. O. Box 35 Tinley Park IL 60477 Gentlemen:
This refers to the telephone conversation between you and Dr. Carl J. Paperiello of this office on June 28, 1979, regarding your storage of packages of radioactive waste for periods of time in excess of six months.
With regard to the matters discussed, we understand that you have undertaken or will undertake the following actions:
1.
Submit to this office by July 13, 1979, a report on the number of packages of radioactive material you have possessed for a period in excess of six months and still have in your possession.
This report should also include a summary of the nominal size of these packages and the approximate amount of radioactive material in these packages.
2.
Dispose in a lawful manner all packages of radioactive material which you currently possess and have possessed for a period of more than six months.
This is to be accomplished by August 31, 1979.
3.
If Item 2 cannot be completed by August 31, 1979, inform this office of this fact by written notification and include the reason for delay and the date by which the actions in Item 2 will be completed.
If our understanding of your planned actions as described above is not in accordance with the actual plans and actions being implemented, please contact this office immediately.
