In the Matter of the Application of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 Enclosed is a resubn.ittal of TVA's responses to the Auxiliary Systens Branch (ASB) fire protection review questions 1 through 27 for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant originally submitted by my let.ter to you dated December 19, 1978. This submittal includes: 1. A revised response to ASB question 3 which reflects the results of TVA's evaluation of the design deficiency documented in TVA nonconformance report NCR SNP 78-S-2. This deficiency has been reported to OI&E Region II in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e). 2. A revision to the schedule for installation of fire protection modifications which TVA has determined to be required as a result of our responses to the 27-ASB questions and our evaluation of NCR SNP 78-S-2. To determine the schedule for installation of modifications resulting from our evaluation of the NCR refer to the notes on Table 3.B. (i)-3 and Table 3.B. (ii)-3 included in our revised response to ASB question 3. 3. Minor revisions to our responses to ASB questions 1, 7, 20, 23, and 27 to reflect the addition of TVA's SK-1000 series of compartmentation drawings to our response to ASB question 1. These drawirgs indicate the boundaries where fire resistive construc-tion and assemblies will be used to maintain the integrits of fire areae and fire cells. 7901240/ W 790124 50 An Equal Opportunity Employer
