%..~..ap January 3,1979 Docket flo. 50-298 flebraska Public Power District ATTN: Mr. J. M. Pilant, Licensing and Quality Assurance Manager Post Office Box 499 Columbus, Nebraska 68601 Gentlemen:
Our previous letter, dated August 2,1978, forwarded to you a list of inspectors from this office who were to be issued permanent, non-employee, no-escort-required picture badges for your plant as authorized by 10 CFR 73.55(d)(5).
That list has been revised and a copy of that revision is attached.
The identities of other NRC personnel who visit your site may be verified by the NRC inspectors on the ttached list, or by contacting the Region IV Fiscal / Personnel Services Supereisor at (817) 334-3452, or (after hours) the Duty Officer at (817) 334-2841.
Region IV inspectors will be treated as employees not regularly employed at the site and other visiting f1RC personnel will be treated as normal plant visitors. All NRC employees, however, are subject to the identifi-cation and search requirements of 73.55(d)(1).
The flRC inspectors on the attached list should be given any special indoc-trination needed for them to have prompt access to all protected and vital plant areas. Other NRC personnel may, at your option, be given a short special indoctrination sufficient for them to have unescorted access to the protected area.
Sincerely, f'
