Dear Mr. Shealy:
Your letter dated January 27, 1 983 to Chainnan Palladino advising of the support from the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors for requiring NRC licensees to use NYLAP accredited personnel dosimetry services has been referred to me for response. As you are apparently aware, the NRC staff is developing a proposed rule to this effect which will be considered by the Commission in the near future. The supporting position statement affirmed by your membership will be made known to the Comissioners and should assist them in their deliberations on this rulemaking.
We appreciate your interest in this matter and will keep you advised of develop-ments thereon.
