Houston Lichting & Power Company (South Texas Project, Units 1 & 2), Docket Nos. 50-498A &
50-499A; Texas Utilities Generating Company (Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station), Docket Nos. 50-445A & 50-446A Gentlemen:
This is the report of the Public Utility Board of the City of Brownsville, Texas ("Brownsville") concerning its progress during September toward the completion of discovery in the above-captioned proceeding.
Brownsville continued to work with Central Power & Light Company to resolve problems concerning production and confiden-tiality of certain documents of CP&L and the other Central and Southwest Corporation ("CSW") companies responsive to Brownsville's interrogatories and requests for documents.
Brownsville hopes that outstanding questions will be resolved shortly so that it can complete its review of CSW company documents responsive to Brownsville's data requests.
During the first week in October, Brownsville representatives participated in the depositions of Messrs. Siegelin, Durham and Price of CP&L.
Brownsville is considering the need to notice depositions of additional CSW and CP&L officials, in view of the recent postponement or cancellation of some of the previously scheduled depositions of CSW company officials.
1289
- 791102o 3 7 o m At Brownsville 's reques t, Houston Lighting & Power Company depositions of Brownsville employees scheduled during September were postponed until November.
Brownsville sought this postpone-ment, among other reasons, because of the conflicting demands of hearings scheduled before the Texas Public Utilities Commission during the same period in a docket in which Brownsville is a party.
During September, Brownsville provided additional documents to HL&P in response to specific requests.
Brownsville has continued its review and organization of documents provided in response to its various data requests.
Respectfully submitted,
