20036 Re: Deposition of R.H. Hartley Gentlemen:
Attached herewith is a listing of dbcuments produceable pursuant to the joint subpoena of R.H. Hartley.
It would be appreciated if you would review the list and advise the undersigned which documents you wish Mr.
Hartley to bring with him this week. The Staff will then review the documents selected and ascertain whether the Staff wishes to assert privilege or confidentiality with respect to any such document (s), or portion (s) thereof.
Today, we are officially producing a letter and enclosure from R.H.
Hartley to the Staff dated September 14, 1979.
We are also producing a copy of Mr. Hartley's pencil notations made in connection with this matter. As you will note, these notptions are not clearly legible.
Accordingly, we have already request 9d that the pencil notes be sent to Washington for re-reproduction using a Kodak copier.
It is expected that these notes will arrive tomorrow for re-copying and delivery to you on Wednesday morning.
it would be appreciated if you would advise me Tuesday afternoon of any items selected from the enclosed list. The Staff will deliver copies of such documents by noon on Thursday.
Copying charges will be billed at NRC cost.
