Requirements for Additional Full-Scale Test Facility Testing in the Mark 1 Containment Long Term Program
'In your letter of October 1,1779, we were notified that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission sill require additional large break,1 iquid blowdown confirmatory cests in the Full-Scale Test Facility.
The letter requests that Detroit Edison commit, on behal f of the Mark I Owners Group as a whole, to perform these tests ud submit the test plan and schedule by OctCaer 31, 1979 We v lew a conrn i tmen t to per fo rm add I t iona l Ful 1-Sca l e Tes t Fac il i ty confi rma tory tes ts as a major Owners Group commitment.
- However, most of the turk i Owners have not yet received your October i letter.
A Mark I Owners meeting is planned for mid-November to discuss this subject. We hope that all the Owners would have received your letter by this time.
We, therefore, request a delay in our response to your October i letter until af ter that meeting but ne later tnan November 30, 1979 Sincerely,
