Dear Mr. Keppler:
Your letter (Reference 1) requested a determination to insure no electrical connection exists between the neutral circuit of the primary windings of the EPT or CPT and the generator neutral.
We have inspected the lA and 1B Diesel Generators and have determined that no connections have ever existed between low KVA rated trans-formers and high KVA rated EDG's at the LACBWR facility.
The neutral connections were always in a " floating" mode.
Diesel Generator lA was tested with a 225 KW load for 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> on September 11, 1968.
The IB Diesel Generator was tested with a 300 KW load on July 21, 1976.
Diesel Generators lA and 1B were tested with full emergency loads for 3.5 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br /> on September 6, 1979.
No overheat or other operational problems were noted.
