APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION United Nuclear Corporation Docket No.70-820 Recovery Systems This refers to the inspection conducted by a representative of the Region I (Philadelphia) office at the United Nuclear Corporation Recovery Systems Facility, Wood River Junction, Rhode Island, of activities authorized by NRC License No. SNM-777.
During this inspection conducted on April. 23-27,1979, the following apparent item of noncompliance was identified.
License Condition 6.0 of MPP-2, " Records and Reports", requires in paragraph 6.2. that the licensee report on a monthly basis all intentional discards and material unaccounted for and that this report be made within fifteen days after the end of the month in which the discard was made er the material unaccounted for was detennined.
Contrary to the above, as of April 25, 1979, the licensee had not made the intentional discard and material unaccounted for report for the month of March, which was required to be made by April 15, 1979.
This is a deficiency.
