- 3..,. Box 3521 Ett. ers, P. A.. 17319....
do hereby request per=ission of the Secretary of the Unites States Nuclear Re6ulatory Co:nission to participate in testifying at the TMI - I hearings tentatively scheduled for Feb nary 1.1960.
My request is based on medical and environmental informatien garnered by me over a three year peried. Sis infor=ation/ reports, signed by all these involved, eccespasses far=s within a five-=ile radius of TMI. Se Veter-inarian, who services this area as well as a three-county area, can con-firm these occurrences.
Because most of these findings occurred prior to the accident of Unit 2, it is my thou6ht that perhaps nuclear power plants are. esittir4 : ore than just radiation and. therefore are affectir4 the wildlifes livestock and the a
environment itself.
Living on a farm has tau 6ht =e how precious all life is.
We are all de-pendent on each other. When the animals begin to weaken and fall, when the birds begin to disappear, when the smaller animals begin to reveal re-productive problems, this eventually threatens the survival of man.
Due to these and other occurrences, I respectfully request time to subsit this informaticn to the NRC Panel selected for the purpcse of decidir4 the cen-tinued operation of Unit 1 at TMI.
