San Antonio, TX 78212 Daar Mr. Sinkin:

Your letter of August 1,1979, requested that an additional local public document room (LPDR) for the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, be established in San Antonio, Texas. As I mentioned during our telephone conversation on October 4, although your letter was included in the licensing proceeding on Dockets 50-498 and 499, my copy was apparently misdirected in the tiRC mail sys ten. However, I have now received Congressman Gonzalez's letter of September 24 which forwarded a copy of your August i letter.

I regret the delay in responding to yourrequest, and trust that the information provided blow will be responsive to your needs.

In talking with you, you said that you were primarily interested in having access in San Antonio to tiRC inspection reports concern'ng the South Texas project. Arrangements have now been made with Mr. Mike Sexton, Director, San Antonio Public Library, 203 S. St. Mary Street, San Antonio, Texas, to receive and maintain these reports on a continuing basis. Mrs. Jona Souder, Chief of the Local Public Document Room Branch, discussed tnis with you ar.d has assured me that these reports will be sent to the library this week.

7n inspection reports are being sent to Mr. James Sosa, Business, Science, and Technology Department, where they will be housed on the second floc,r of the library. Any future reports will also be sent to Mr. Sosa.

I understand that the library's hours of operation are:

p Monday - Friday 9 am to 9 pm L

Saturday 9 am to 6 pm, As you indicated in your letter, we have established an additional LPDR for tna operating license proceeding at the Austin Public Library, Austin-Travis County Collection, Austia, Texas.

The Austin Public Library will have all of

,ie documents relating to the operating license proceeding, and will be considerably more accessible to you than the Bay City Library. The hours of operation of the Austin Public Library are:
