Enclosed please find an application from ITT 3rinnel Valve Company, Inc. for a license to export diaphragm valves to Spain. We have requested the applicant to supply the shipping schedule for the proposed export and to name the facilities where the valves will be used. This information will be transmitted to you as soon as we receive it, Before taking action on this license application, we would apr reciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the common defense and security, and whether the proposed export meets the appli-cable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Nonproliferation
