SEP 131979 Appendix A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Commonwealth Edison Company Docket No. 50-237 Based on the inspection conducted on August 1-31, 1979, it appears that certain of your activities were in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as noted below. This item is an infraction.
Unit 2 Technical Specifications, Section 6.2.A.1 requires detailed written procedures dealing with the operation of systems and components involving nuclear safety of the facility be prepared, approved, and adhered to.
Pro-cedure DOP 1600-6, Rev. 8, " Nitrogen Inerting of Primary Containment with Reactor Building Ventilation System," requires the inerting be stopped when the level in the nitrogen tank reaches 60 inches.
Contrary to the above, on July 7, 1979 while inerting the Unit 2 drywell, the operator allowed the level in the nitrogen tank to reach 55 inches before inerting was stopped.
