CARROLL COUNTY SITE VISIT AND SPECIAL PREHEARIflG CONFERENCE y?
On September 17 - 18, 1979 a site visit was :onducted at the Carroll County

site and 10 proposed alternative sites. A he.licopter overflight was made over all these sites on September 17 by:

G. LaRoche (NRC - ESS - terrestrial ecology)
K. Hoekstra (Aril - terrestrial ecology)
B. Barickman (Commonsealth Edison)
On September 18, 1979 the above individuais, together with C. Haupt (NRC - EP environmental project manager), and other Commonwealth Edison representatives,
'.j made a ground inspection of tne Carroll County sitd and its environs.
- 1 On September 19, 1979 a special prehearing conference was held in Mt. Carroll,

Illinois. The purpose of this conference was te a) determine whether specific individuals / groups would be admitted as intervenors in the ESR proceedings as 1
official parties and b) determine the admissibility of proposed contentions, mHIf-The official transcript provides an adequate record of that conference.
