7810 and 7832 Status: Complete In its letter of June 20, 1979, the licensee comitted to the installation of top discharge feedwater rings (J-tubes) in all of the steam generators at the Zicn Generating Station at the rate of one steam generator per refueling outage.
Based on our review of the licensee's respenses and the evaluation report by our consultant and in consideration of the licensee's program for modifying the feedwa'er rings, we have concluded that adequate measures are being taken at the Zicn Generating Station to reduce the probability of occurrence of steam generator water ha.mer.
Our consultants' evaluation report and our safety evaluation are enclosed for your information and transmittal to the licensee. This safety evaluation completes the effort by PSS, Section B cn the above TAC numbers.
