Thank you for your letter of June 29, 1979, in response to our letter dated April 30, 1979. Ac a result of our review, we find that additional infor-mar. ion is needed on the fallowing items:

Please identify how the stated review and instructions were documented to provide an auditable record of corrective action.
C.
Your response does not provide corrective action measures for the par-ricular cited drawings.
D.
Please idcntify how the stated reinstruct :n of QC Inspectors was documented to prot _de an auditable record of corrective action.
In regards to your resporse made concerning the two temper cycles performed on December 22, 1978, we have the following observations for which no additional response is required at this time:
1.
if the parts and chart were rejected by Product Assurance af ter the first temper cycle of 2.2 Fours, no evidence was made avail-able to the NRC Inspector thac detanstrated thic, i.e.,
A Material Discrepancy Report was not initiated describing the discrepancy.
2.
HTS 3177provides no tolerance on the three (3) hour tempering requirement. Accordingly, we would expect that an accumulated tempering time of 5.5 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br /> would require the approval of technical staff with assigned responsibility for heat treat specifications.
Please provide this additional information on A, C, and D, above within twenty (20) days in order that we may complete our review in a timely manner.
