~:.L':J' ANSWEd 0F NRC STAFF TO MOTION OF APPLICANT TO CONTINUE PROCEEDINGS GENERALLY The NRC Staff does not copose the Applicant's motion of June 29, 1979 "to continue this matter generally on the Comission's docket until such time as a final resolution of the issue as to the availability of the proposed site is had."

However, the Staff suggests that the Board require the Applicant to inform the Board and the parties at least quarterly as to the status of its efforts to obtain a final resolution.

Respectfully submitted, Gk James M. Cutchin, IV Counsel for NRC Staff Dated at Bethesda, Maryland, this 17th day of July,1979.
