In the Matter of the Application of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 In a telephone conversation on September 9, 1979, the Containment Systems Branch Reviewer, J. Pulsipher, requested that TVA submit documentation of TVA's position with respect to testing of contafa-ment penetrations at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix J.

Because of problems with equipment delivery and installation before fuel loadiag, Sequoyah unit 1 will not be fully testable with air as described in Appendix J before initial startup. Unit 1, however, will be brought into full compliance with Appendix J rec,uirments before the first refueling outage startup. Unit 2 of Sequoyah will be in full compliance with Appendix J requirements before initial fuel loading of unit 2.
