Your recent letter to the NRC posed several questions about nuclear power plants in the United States. Your questions have been summarized below and a response has been provided.
Question:
Could something like Three Mile Island happen agair?
Answer:
It is impossible to say that the Three Mile Island accident will never be repeated.
Question:
Could you send a map of the nuclear power plants in the United States?
Answer:
The NRC does not have a publication like that. However, the magazine " Nuclear News" recently (February 1979) published a list of all the nuclear power plants in the United States.
You should be able to get a reprint of this article from them.
