1979 to the Anacor.da Quality Assurance Manual for Generating Station Cables Report AWC-75).

Our review of your proposed chah_gss kould nomally be coriducted using the acceptance t
criteria in Revision 1 of our Standard Review Plan (NUEG-75/087, Section 17.1).
However, noting your " intent' to start rewritir.g the entire manual following the exact fomat of the Standard Ibview Plan' ibvision 1,7 we have simply verified for i
the present that the proposed changes do not degyade. the program that was previously app roved. He do this with the proviso that the rewrite that addresses Revision 1 of the SFP will be submitted before 1981.
In this regard, you should note that, for new applications for construction pennits and operating licenses and those currently under review, we will detemine the acceptability of quality assurance

programs for utility applicants and thefr. contractors using Revision 1 of the SPP/,_-
Our review indicates that the 45 proposed changes are generally acceptable with the i
following exceptions 1.
(Change Nizaber 25) - The release of a purchase oNer to a supplier prior to

its quality assurance review is unacceptable. Quality assurance review of the purchase order should pre' cede order placeaent..

(Change Nisaber 32) - The deletion of the words, "that the materisl yhich is held pending completion of these tests is released when tests are.cc.moleted satisfactorily," is unacceptable. Material should not be released ur.til j
tests are satisfactorily completed.
3.
(Change Ntzaber 33) - The proposed language would be acceptable if, in two i
places, "a direct effect" is changed to "an effect."
4.
(Change dumber 36) - ihe proposed language would b~e acceptable if a cor:nitment is provided that access to the calibration standards is centrolled by quality assurance.
