SUBJECT:
AUDITS ON STANDBY PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM 4,:
Audits on the Standby Pressure Control System (SPCS) have been completed.
Eleven operating personnel were examined to determine the knowledge of SPCS design (Phase I) normal operating practices, and abnormal system operation. The operators were selected from four shifts.
Also, different job classifications were audited:
three licensed SR0s, three licensed R0s and five non-licensed auxiliary operators.
The results of the audit were satisfactory. The operating staff demonstrated a sound knowledge of the SPCS that will increase as
" hands on" experience is gained when the system is tested and later put into service.
It is noted; however, that one auxiliary operator demonstrated some deficiencies on SPCS operation. As a result of this audit, the operator will receive additional training on the system.
In addition, all operators. will receive training on the SPCS when Phase II modifi-cations are complete.
This will ensure that operating personnel are aware of the automatic controls and remote control room instru-mentation installed as part of the Phase II modifications.
