This is in response to your letter of October 3,1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Free dom of Information Act, a copy of the winning technical proposal submitted by Teknekron Research, Inc., in response to contract solicitation NRC RFP No. NMS-79-024 entitled " Volume Reduction Techniques in Low Level Radioactive Haste Management."

Gentlemen:
Teknekron, Inc. is pleased to submit this proposal for a study of " Volume Reduction Techniques in Lcw Level Radioactive Waste Management," in response to the subject RFP under the terms of the referenced 30A.
Our prcposal is submitted in two parts, as folicws:
Technical Proposal - Five (5) copies, including one (1) original Business Proposal
- Five (5) copies, including one copy each of Attachment A, " Summary and Data Sheet" We are proposing an outstanding professional staff.to perform this task for NRC.
Our team includ no has excensive background in both the ccmmercia d Federa' 3cvernment waste management programs, in-
'cluding excerience in the cesign and selection of volume reduction equipment; who is cur principal investigator for the NRC wasta projection contract; and Q
- J-o has extensive background in Federal govern-ment wuce managemtm g yams.
Should the Nuclear Regulatory Cc=nission favorably consider this proposal, Teknekron, Inc. would agree to perform under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract -
and the ter ns and conditions of our referenced 30A with General Provisions recuired by law and mutually acceptable Special Provisiens.
Our proposal is valid until 16 March 1979.
