Our Architect / Engineer (Stone & Webster) and our NSSS Vendor (General Electric) have recently completed a review of the design of the emergency diesel generators (EDG) to be supplied for the River Bend Station and have concluded that the EDG's are designed and supplied for operation with a floating primary neutral. Testing of the EDG's will be done during the preoperational and start-up testing phase and will be outlined in the FSAR. No further response to I&E Bulletin 79-23 is necessary.

Sincerely, s
