NRC STAFF'S RESPONSE TO APPLICANT'S MOTION FOR EXPEDITED CONSIDERATION On September 7,1979, the NRC Staff filed a Petition for Review and a Request for Interim Protective Order in the above-captioned matter.
The petition sought protection of certain route information for the shipment of spent fuel from the Oconee facility to the McGuire facility. On September 10, 1979, the Commission heard oral arguments from the parties concerning the Staff's Petition.
By motion of October 24, 1979, Applicant requested the Commission to expedi-tiously resolve the matter of whether routing information is to be kept confi-dential for sabotage reasons, or whether the routing information is to be made puolic.
The Applicant states that resolution of the question should not require further briefing or oral argument from the parties. Under the Conmission's Rules of Practice,10 CFR 52.730, the NRC Staff's response to the Applicant's Motion is due to be filed by November 13, 1979.

By its Order of November 2,1979, the Commission set forth a procedure detailing how the routing information would be distributed under the Commission's interim protective order of September 7,1979, and how further views of the parties on the routing information matter would be received and considered.
The Commission's Order meets the Applicant's request that the Comr.ission resolve the matter in an expeditious fashion, although it does allow further written input from the parties within thirty days of the date of the Commission's Order.
Accordingly, the Commission's Order of November 2,1979 makes unnecessary any further response by the NRC Staff to the substance of Applicant's October 24, 1979 motion.
Respectfully submitted,
