In accordanes with the understandings which were reflected in Chairman Seaborg's letter of October 3, 1963.to Admiral Karo, I am forwarding herewith Volumes 1, 2, and 3 of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report filed by Metropolitan Ed' son Company for the proposed construction and operation of a pressurized water nuclear reactor at its Three Mile Island site, an island in the Susquehanna River, in Lnadanderry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, apprnvi==tely ten alles sout'.aeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
We would appreciate receiving the results of a review b'y the Coast and Geodatic Survey concerning seismological characteris-ties of the pro p ed reactor location which may have a bearing upon our evaluation of the suitability of the proposed site.
On the basis of our tentative schedule for this project, it would be desirable to have your report available for our use
