Appendix A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Toledo Edison Company Docket No. 50-346 Based on the inspection conducted on July 9-12 and August 9, 1979, it appears that certain of your activities were in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as noted below. The item is an infraction.
Technical Specification 6.8.2 requires that procedures, including the applicable procedures recommended in Appendix "A" of Regulatorf Guide 1.33, be reviewed by the SRB and approved by the Station Superintendent prior to implementation. Appendix "A" of Regulatory Guide 1.33 lists the solid radwaste system as an activity which should be covered by written procedures.
Contrary to the above, the procedures for operation of a portable rad-waste solidification system, in use on numerous occasions during 1978 and 1979 to date, had not been reviewed by the SRB and approved by the Station Superintendent.
