Tne following items describe the specific responses and actions we have taken in response to your notification:

1.

In regard to Item 1 of the Notice of Violation and as noted by the NRC, MRC has taken corrective action described in our letter of 4-5-79.

Effective, beginning third quarter (July,1979) MRC instituted those corrective actions, and thus full compliance was established on that date.

In regard to Item 2, Notice of Violation, the following action has been taken:

(b) Corrective Action Taken to Avoid Further Non-compliance - The form of the Health Physics log was changed to reflect the 3 basic items required for reporting situations in the log.

(1) Problem, (2) Reasons or cause of problem; (3) Corrective ac',fon taken to avoid recurrence. Since each section must be filled out and signed when entering reports in the H.P. Log, the condition of non-compliance should not recur.
