DCT o 51979 Dr. Joel Yellin 20 D-222 Massachusetts Institute of Technology IN RESPONSE REFER Cambridge, MA 02139 TO F01A-79-401

Dear Dr. Yellin:

Your Freedom of Information Act request of September 4,1979, addressed to Mr. Wayne Range, of the Department of Encrgy, was referred to this office for us to respond to those items concerning nuclear reactor site safety which relate to documents that might be in the files of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

We have also been asked to respond to your letter of September 24, 1979, on the same subject, addressed to Mr.

Hugh Voress, of the NRC's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS).

We have made a search of MRC's files and have been unable to locate any documents pertaining to your request.

Apparently, none of the items you list were among the records turned over to the ACRS by the former Reactor Safeguard Committee.

Sincerely, 4

J. M. Felton, Director Division of Rules and Records Office of Administration cc:
