Dear Congressman McCormack:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has been engaged in the development of a more explicit policy for nuclear facility decommissioning.
In September 1978 it held a series of regional worksnops to review with State officials the specifics of its plan.
A following set of workshops will be held during the last two weeks in September.
Each Governor has been invited to designate representatives from his staff anc appropriate State agencies.
Letters of invitation have also gone to the legislative leadership and public utility commission in each State.
This letter is to inform you that a regional workshcp will be held at the Conference Center at Seattle Center, Seattle, WA on September 25-27, 1979.
A cop ~y of the letter of invitation is enclosed.
