Dear Congressman Spence:
The E clear egulatory Ccomission has been engaged in the development of a more explicit policy for nuclear facility cecommissioning.
In September 1978 it held a series of regional workshops to reviev with State officials the specifics of its plan.
A following set of oorKshops will be held during the last two weeks in September.
Each Governor has been invited to designate representatives from his staff and appropriate State agencies.
Letters of invitation have also gone to the legislative leadership and public utility commission in each State.
This letter is to inform you that a regional workshop will be held at the Carolina Inn, Columbia, SC on Septemoer 12-14, 1979.
A cooy of the letter of invitation is enclosed.
