4.0 Handling, Storage and Shipping Written safety procedures concerning the handling, stor~-> cou shipping of packages for certain special form radioactive material will be followed.

Shipments will not be made unless all tests, certifications, acceptances, and final inspectio"n have been completed.

Work instructions will be provided for handling, storage, and shipping operations.

5.0 Inspection, Test and Operating Status i

Inspection, test and operating status of packages for certain special form radioactive material will be indicated and controlled by written procedures.

The records will be identifiable and retrievable.

A list of these records, with their storage locations, will be maintairled by the Radiation Safety Of ficers.

7.0 Audits Established schedules of audits of the QA Program will be performed using written check lists.

Results of audits will be maintained and reported to management.

Audit reports 1.11 be evaluated and deficient areas corrected.

The audits will be dependent en the safety significance of the activit, Sei ~

audited, but each activity will be audited at least once per year.

Audit reports will be maintained as part of the cuality assurance records.

Mcmbers of the audit team shall have -"

GENERAL MANAGER The ultimate responsibility for this quality control program rests with the General Manager.

The General Manager is responsible for the operation of the entire organization.

2)

OPERATIONS MANAGER The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the laboratory within the limits set by the General Manager.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the work as it directl' effects the quality.

ASSI_STANT OPERATIONS MANAGER Under normal condition-almost all the operations of this manual under 1. ; a re instituted by the Assistant Operations Manager It is the Assistant Operations Manager's responsibility to see that all of the procedures, systems and records are kept in accordance with this manual.

ENGINEERING MANAGER The Engineering manager is responsible for specification conformance.
