TMI DAILY REPORT A.

Reactor and Plant Status i

1.

A bubble is still drawn in the pressurizer with pressure approximately 285 psi.

Temperature in pressurizer has remained constant.

2.

The following R3 sump level measurements were recorded during the last 24* h ours :

5/27 1600 288.83' 5/27 2400 288.88' 5/28 0805 288.87' Starting at 2400 today, readings will be taken once a day.

instead of once a shift.

3.

A rurvey of the dectq heat vault was made on 5/28/79 which shewed the radiation' levels were up f rom 30-50 =r/hr to 1500 =r/hr.

4.

Reviewed and approved a procedure for leak testing R3 normal cooling coils. Leak testing of the cooling coils should. begin -

on the-4-12 shift.

3.

Radwaste and HP 1.

Reviewed and approved procedure on the use of charcoal canister respirators in radiciodine atmospheres.

2.

EPICOR-II

~he hoses, monitors and pu=ps have been installed.

Still experiencing dif ficulties in the wiring from the components to the control panel.

The crane has been received and installed.

3.

Tank Farm - Water was successfully transferred from the upper three tanks to the 95,000 gallen storage tank in EPICCR-II using the two installed eductors.

The two eductors for the lower two tanks were removed and found to be damaged due to thermal expansion during testing.

The two new eductors received from OFJiL are being installed and should be tested 3/29.

0?2iL personnel will remain on-site until
