Dear Mr. Santman:
Per our phone conversation, I am enclosing a copy of the proposed agenda, map and registration form for the NRC Region IV State Liaison Officers' meeting in Dallas, Texas on November 28 and 29.
The purpose of the meeting is to acquaint the States with our regional office operations and also to present an update on the major problem areas, such as radioactive wastes, transportation of radioactive material, emergency response, etc.
Be:ause the States believe transportation is a matter of concern, we appreciate your agreeing to send a representative from your office to giv? a 20-minute talk on the problems and issues pertaining to the regelation of transportation of radioactive material.
There will be a question and answer period for the States follcwing the presentation on trarsportation.
As s aon as you know, please notify me who from your office will be the DOT speaker.
