Immediate Action Letter (IAL) 79-14 This refers to your letter dated September 27, 1979, in response to the subject letter dated September 7,1979 and to the telephone conversation between Mr. T.
Stetka of this office and Mr. L. Clark of your staff on October 3,1979.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter.
These actions will be examined during a subsequent inspection of your licensed program.
With regard to the request to withdraw the broad requirements contained in IAL 79-14, the options available to you to justify reducing these requirements were discussed in the telephone conversation of October 3,1979.
Based upon that conversation, we understand that you intend to continue to implement the commit-ments documented in IAL 79-14 until NRC concurrence in the adequacy of other measures is obtained.
