20510 Dev Senator Schweiker:
The Board of Supervisors of Newberry Township, York County, Pennsylvania at its meeting of June 19, 1979 voted unanimously to strenuously oppose the reactivating of Three Mile Island Units One and/or Two until such time as:
(1) A workable evacuation plan is established for the area and a copy of the plan is dictributed to all residences, schools and industries of Newberry Township.
(2) At least five (5) civil defense cirens be purchased for the township and set up at ctrategic points throughout the township to alert citizens in case of any emergency.
The Board will be appreciative of anything you do toward helping us meet our objectives.
