05-15163-02 Notice of Violation Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on August 7 and 10, 1979, certain activities appear to be in noncompliance with NRC regulations and the conditions of your NRC License No. 05-15163-02 as indicated below:
1.
Licease Condition 13.A (1) requires that sealed sources shall be tested for leakage and/or contamination at intervals not to exceed six months.
Contrary to this requirement, all licensed sealed sources in use in Wyoming were not leak tested during the period November 29, 1977, to January 13, 1979.
This is an infraction.
2.
10 CFR 30.3 requires that no person possess or use byproduct material except as authorized in a specific or general license.
Contrary to the above, a sealed source containing a nominal activity of 50 millicuries of cesium-137 was possessed and used in Wyoming without authorization by license on August 9, 1979.
This is an infraction.
3.
Contrary to 10 CFR 19.11 (a) or (b), neither the documents reavired by 10 CFR 19.11 (a) nor the notice required by 10 CFR 19.11 (b) were posted at the time of the inspection.
This is a deficiency.
