Dear fir. Cravath:

We have received your request for (1) a list of all employees of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), (2) a list of employees at. every nuclear power plant, and (3) a list of stockholders in electric utilities.

I apologize for not provid-ing an answer to you sooner, but as you are aware, the Commission and staff have been occupied with continued support of the efforts Three Mile Island, Orders to other facilities, appearances before the President's Commission and various committees of Congress that are investigating the inree Mile Island accident, and the realignnent of our own resources and priorities to give immediate attention to the problems resulting from the accident.

It is not the. function of the NRC to maintain lists of nuclear power plant employees or electric utility stockholders.

A list of the NRC employees could be provided to you, if you can identify a sufficient need for such information; however, you have not done so.

If you are interested in detemining whether NRC employees are stockholders in electric utilicies that have nuclear power plants, our regulations explicitly prohibit an NRC employee from owning stock in any company that is a NRC contractor or any company that has made an application to the NRC for a license to build or operate a nuclear po,ter plant.
