(COMMISSIONER ACTION ITEM)
This is to advise you that the Comissioners have reviewed the subject license to Westinghousa Electric Corporation.
The Commission (with four Commissioners concurring, Comissioner Bradford non-concurred) has accepted your recomendation to export to the Republic of Korea 305,232 kilograms of uranium, enriched to 3.55% U-235, in the form of uranium dioxide sintered pellets.
In connection with his concurrence Commissioner Gilinsky commented:
" Fuel should not be shipped until facility attachme'nt approved".
In his non-concurrence Commissioner Bradford commented:
"The Cor.inission is issuing an inordinate number of fuel licenses for a time too far into the future for the findings required by the NNPA to be made with reasonable confidence."
j The Office of International Programs was infonned of this action by telephone on October 12, 1979.
It is requested that you provide notification of the issuance and delivery of this license to Westinghouse by c.o.b. October 19, 1979.
