The request referred to cer"M docu::ents ccncerning LIw0's constructicn of Shcrehan dich were found in the Southhold Tcun Du:p. CS said de dcct:mnts were being reviewed by its technical censultant to deter::ine their significance fran a qualief centrol and safety standpoint.
On May 29, 1979, LILCO respctded wi6 a descripticn of the role of the Engineering and Design Coordinaticn Recerts (EEICR) and the fact that they are revieeed by the NRC.
It was also stated that all those reports were available for reviea at Shcrehan by the ::edia and CS's technical censultant.
Cn June 12, 1979, the Staff respcnded by stati g that its instection reports, in part relating to FEICR, are available to de cublic.
Staff also identified specific reports in sich de subject is :sticned.

n On June 6,1979, CS sub::itted a set of inter =gatories to LILCO and de SRC Staff based en EDCRs. LILCO respcnded en June 22, 1979. 'Ihe StaE's request for a time extensicn to July 6,1979 was granted by the Board'r eder of June 20, 1979.

On June 20, 1979, CS stated that de Staff's respcrse en June 12, 1979, was unacceptable and the CS interrogatcrics of June 6,1979, were tech-nical questicns de NRC Inspection and Enfore me persennel shculd be asking.
CS requested the Scard to ir.sure that a cc::plete audit and physical irspectica of Shoreh m be under-d en.
On June 28, 1979, North Shore C M tree Against 11uclear and Th e t Polluticn joined CS's request for an inspecticn of Shorehan.
LILT has offered to =ake available to CS's tecMical corsultant all the E6DCR decrents. CS has access to the infor=aticn necessary fcr interrogatcries sich =ight fcts the bases fcr specific cententicns for the Board's censideratien.
If CS submi.ts such contenticus and the 3 card deter-
=ines the cententions are acceptable, LILCO and de Staff will be expected to offer testircny en these matters at the evidentiary hearing subject to cross-e:r^.arien by other parties and de Board. CS has de burden of ping fcneard if it wishes to pursue dis ratter.
