SCOPE OF WORK Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems Support Select EI&C Issues General By letter dated September 7,1979, the Division of Project Management traasferred Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2 to the Division of Operating Reactors. The current status of the EI&C items requiring further staff action are described below.

Task 1:

Instrument Trip Setpoints Drift Allowance

Background

License Condition 2.C(3)(d) stipulates that the licensee shall submit for Commission review certain information for each reactor protection system and engineered safety feature instrumentation channel for incorporation in the Technical Specifications (TS). A document was I

submitted by the licensee on February 28, 1979.

Work Task The contractor will review the licensee's submittal and develop a safety evaluation of the proposed Technical Specification Changes.

Task 2: Overpressure Mitigating System

Background

License Condition 2.C(3)(f) stipulates that the licensee shall, prior to startup following the first regularly scheduled refueling or age, achieve full implementation of its proposed over; essure mitigating system described in the licensee's let + dated October 11, 1977. As a part of this implen tation, the licensee will submit a request for a TS ir, ilving surveillance requirements for the relief valves. This matter is discussed further in Section 5.7 of Supplement No. I to the SER.

j Work Task The contractor will review the licensee's submittal and develop a safety evaluation of the proposed Technical Specification change in a manner that is consistent with other approved overpressure mitigating systems.
