Subject:

Quantitative Safety Goals dated 6/11/79 In order to develop further the concept of establishing safety goals for nuclear power reactors, the Committee has assigned this project to our Subcanmittee on Reliability and Probabilistic Assessment. We anticipate that up to a year may be needed to arrive at the recanmen-dations we feel are appropriate.

We would be pleased to discuss the topic on an interim basis as you might wish.
