This refers to your application dated August 31, 1979 requesting approval of your Quality Assurance (QA) program as meeting the QA program require-ments of 10 CcR 971.51.

In connection with our review, we need the infomation identified in the enclosure to this letter. Please delete everything after the QAP. While procedures and fanns are required to implement the QA program, they should not be submitted as part of your QA program. Please submit seven copies of your response to the enclosed request for additional information within 30 days following receipt of this letter.

Reauest for Additional Information 1.

Under " Handling, Storage, and Shipping," provide a commitment that shipments will not be made unless all tests, certifications, acceptances, and final inspections have been completed.

2.

Provide a section titled, " Inspection, Test, and Operating Status," in the QAP in accordance with the Sample QA Program provided in our letter of August 3,1979.

3.

Revise sections 8 and 9 of your August 31, 1979 submittal such that these sections are responsive to comparable sections in the Sample QA Program provided in our letter of August 3,1979. Note that an annual audit of the entire QA Program will be made by an audit team (or auditor) having no day-to-day responsibility in the progrcm.
