Paragraph "8. Audits" of the p_SDA Quality Assurance Program for Packaging and Shipment of Radioactive Materials submit t ed with letter dated December 26, 1978 is amended in its entirety to read sa follows:

Audits Due to infrequency of shipments, the QA Frogram will be audited prior to each ship-mast.
Rasults of audit will be maintained sad reported to the Radiological Safety Committes.
Audit reports will be evaluated and deficient areas corrested where indicated.
The audits will be dependent en the safety significance of the activity being audited.
Audit reports will be filed in the Radiological Safety Staff effice as part of the quality assuraase records and reviewed by a persen having no responsibility in the activity being audited.
If mere informaties is mesessary, va shall be glad to supply it upon request.
