Enclosed please find an application from Self-Powered Lighting Ltd.
for a license to export to the Dominican Republic 800,000 curies of tritium gas per year for 5 years for the manufacture of sealed gaseous light sources.
Before taking action on this license application, we would appre-ciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the in-terests of the United States, including the common defense and security, and whether the proposed export meets the applicable cri-teria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Nonproli-feration Act of 1978.
