NRC II: Bulletin 79-11 identified a prGblem with faulty overcurrent trip devices in circuit breakers for engineered sarety systens.

Westinghouse Type DE-75 and DB-50 breakers were the specific models having the problem. We have revicwed this bulletin for applicability to Tro}an and have concluded that it is not applicable.

We do not employ Westinghouse circuit breakers in safety-related systens nor do we intend to use them in the future The only exception is that Westinghouse breakers are used as reactor trip breakers, however, as the bulletin paints out this application does not require the over-current trip feature that is the source of the problem.

Sincerely,

. /w/
