Dear Mr. Ketchen:
I read in the paper yeste rday that the NRC has adopted new regulations concerning the shipment of spr.nt nuclear fuel through urban areas and with regard to hijackings and sabetage.
Inasmuch as these regulations would seem t o lightly touch on the matter at issue in Oconee/McGuire, I would appreciate having a copy of the regulations as soon as possible.
Indeed, one would think that a copy would be appropriate to be sent out to the entire service list. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Please let me know if, in light of the new regulation, the NRC intends to redo its invironmental impact appreisal, or whether the NRC acknowledging the danger of transp'artation now requires an environmental impact statement.
