Dear Mr. Hendrie:

In the wake of a near disaster at Pennsylvania's Three Mile Island nuc? ear power plant recently, we in 2.'orida are once more made aware of the dangers inherent the seepage of radioactive gases into our environment.

The nuclear power plants here in Florida are in great proximity to our major populacion and tourist centers, and any type of accident could do irreparable da:tage to the majority of our citizens and the economic base of our State.

As a statewide elected official of Florida, I urge you to exercise constant surveillance over the operations of our three nuclear power plants and to carefully review the components of each for safety and our collective security.

Further, let's take advantage of a concerned nation to educate our public in the complete facts surrounding nuclear power.
