General Electric hereby amends its request dated May 11, 1979 for an I AEA certification on the subject package.
Instead of a certification pursuant to the 1967 IAEA regulations for all coatents allowed for domestic shipments, it is now desired to cover only a presently urgent export of a certain quantity of plutonium and uranium oxide pursuant to the 1973 IAEA regulations.
On May 4, 1979, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued revision 3 to Certificate of Compliance USA /9009/B( )F.
That revision covers the additional form of contents for which this IAEA authorization is sought.
Enclosed herewith is information describing the contents of the
. packages proposed for export under the requested certification and how the package complies with the IAEA 1973 revision.
Your prompt personal attention to the issuance of the certificate will enable General Electric to meet 4ts commitment te the NRC for reducing inventories of strategic materials of the Vallecitos Nuclear Center within the next few months.
