Dear Mr. Fleishaker:
This is in response to your letter dated April 30, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, access to "all documents regarding the Stanislaus fiuclear Project P-564 A made available to the fiRC staff by the Department of Justice (D0J) and which (a) were obtained by the D0J by way of a civil investigative demand (CID) relating to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) proposal to construct the Mendocino Project; (b) are internal PG&E nemoranda; and (c) are dated J a n ua ry-Ma rch, 1973. "
In an attempt to honor your request the I;RC is making available 148 rolls of microfilm which contain copies of records in the files of PG&E.
If f!RC has the documents subject to your request they would be contained within the 148 rolls.
fio index to the individual records cn the microfilm rolls were provided to the fiRC and f!RC has not compiled an index.
As agreed in a previous telephone conversation with Mr. Stephen Isaacs, of my staff, we are prepared to provide you access to these microfilm rolls at the flRC Public Document Rocm (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, fl.W., Washington, DC.
A microfilm reader is available at the PDR for your use. Since these microfilm rolls are also in current use by the fiRC staff, arrangements will be made to provide you with access to a few rolls at a time.
Paper copies of records, from the microfilm, can be reproduced at the fiRC's Bethesda offices at ten cents ($.10) per page.
