Dear Senator Moynihan:
Before the 96th Congress is too far underway, I want to take a moment to thank you for your efforts in the last Congress toward securing consolidation of the fluclear Regulatory Commission headquarters at a single location in the Washington metropolitan area and to reiterate the Commission's position that early consolidation is among our highest priorities.
The present scattering of the flRC flock to nine locations goes beyond mere inconvenience.
It represents a serious hindrance to efficient operations.
My fellow Commissioners and I are hopeful that any remaining obstacles to consolida-tion can be successfully resolved as expeditiously as possible.
Your understanding and help in this matter has been and continues to be appreciated.
